About the Event
This 60-minute Prenatal Yoga class is perfect for mamas-to-be looking to build self-awareness on the mat, and to prepare the body and mind for childbirth. You will stretch and strengthen your body, practise good postural alignment, and learn poses that will potentially help with childbirth. You will also practise breathing techniques and meditation/visualization exercises that will help you during pregnancy and labour. Leave the class feel calmer, more relaxed and more connected to yourself and your baby. These classes are suitable for expecting mamas in all trimesters and for all experience levels - beginners are welcome!
20% of the proceeds from this class will be donated to Pathfinders, a local charity supporting the most vulnerable and unsupported children in Hong Kong, and their Foreign Domestic Worker mothers to help them find a path to a brighter future. In 2020, the COVID-19 crisis has drastically impacted the charity's fundraising efforts, but they experiencing an increase in calls to their crisis hotline and an increase in new cases. The donated proceeds will go towards Pathfinders' Bridge the Gap initiative to help maintain critical services at their Community Centre and continue their Community Empowerment work. This is an online class conducted via Zoom. You will receive the Zoom meeting link upon registration. The class will be conducted in English.
