PREGNANCY YOGA TEACHER TRAINING
Learn how to teach Prenatal and Postnatal Yoga, Active Birth Workshops and Baby Yoga
What to Expect from the Bright Birth Teacher Training
This is a 9-day intensive teacher training based in Hong Kong, and is offered in either English or Chinese (Cantonese). In this 85-hour Yoga Alliance recognised program, Holly provides participants with fundamental skills to teach safe and effective prenatal, postnatal, and parent & baby yoga classes. It also covers the instruction of active birth workshops. Graduates of this teacher training course will be adequately equipped with yoga teaching techniques to help women improve their pregnancy experience, prepare for birth and recover post-birth.
IS THIS THE RIGHT TRAINING FOR YOU?
DO I NEED TO BE A YOGA TEACHER TO TAKE THIS TRAINING?
No. This training is suitable for existing yoga teachers, aspiring yoga teachers, pregnant women, midwives, doulas and anyone interested in yoga during and after pregnancy. It will provide participants with a 85-hour specialisation in pregnancy yoga, however in order to teach pregnancy yoga after the course it is expected that the trainee is already a registered yoga teacher.
CAN I TEACH PREGNANCY YOGA IF I HAVEN'T BEEN PREGNANT BEFORE?
Absolutely! You will be sufficiently trained on topics such as anatomy of pregnancy and labour, common discomforts, complications, etc. Remember that every pregnancy is different, so even if you have had the first hand experience of carrying and delivery a baby, you couldn't have experienced what every other expecting mother experiences - the more important thing is that you feel empathy for them and understand the physiological and emotional changes that they are going through.
WHY SHOULD I CONSIDER THIS TRAINING OVER OTHERS?
#1: I provide evidence-based information presented in a simple, logical manner
My background in Engineering and Finance has trained me to recognise good quality research and articulate information in a structured, easy-to-understand way, so I can lead you on your path to becoming a skilful pregnancy yoga teacher. This is especially important for a pregnancy yoga teacher training as we cover many technical topics related to pregnancy and birth.
#2: I am passionate about enhancing women's experience before, during and after birth, and have lots of experience doing so
I love my job because I can see the difference it makes to mothers, birth partners and families. Bringing joy to them is the reason I chose to focus on prenatal, postnatal and baby yoga. Also having experienced a challenging yet empowering birthing process, I have lots to share with prospective students.
#3: Small group training means more attention from me on you
I cap my training class size at 16, which is a small class size compared to many other trainings in Hong Kong. This means that you will receive more one-on-one attention from me, more time practising how to teach yoga, and more individual feedback to make you a better teacher.
I'M INTERESTED. HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE NEXT TRAINING?
I am working hard to confirm the details for the next teacher training. If you are interested in studying with me, please email me so I can inform you as soon as the training dates are finalized.
